Cat Acne?

Anyone have any good treatments? Kiara has always had it, but it has gotten a lot worse over the past day or 2, I think her bowl is too deep and she is keeping her chin dirty. I do not use plastic for any of the cats. Phoebe also has it, but hers has always been controllable (seems to be my white faced cats that get this). Kiara's got worse after I brushed her, so I know I irritated it because it made her bleed, poor kitty & I will certainly be more careful in the future! But I am trying to clean it with warm water and put Neosporin on it daily. A friend recommended peroxide but I think it would burn her right now. If it doesn't get any better, I am going to have to completely stress her out and take her to the vet. Hopefully it will though, I'll give it this week, but any ideas would be helpful as well?
Thanks much!!

It is important to keep the affected area clean. A cotton ball soaked in peroxide is often suggested for cleaning the area. Benzoyl peroxide shampoo used twice a week can also keep the acne under control, and is one of the most common treatments recommended by veterinarians. Washing the chin daily with an antibiotic soap or Cetaphil Cleanser can clear the skin of built-up oil and dirt. Daily cleaning of a cat’s chin using lukewarm salt water can also help reduce the risk of infection.

Also, just changing their food to a higher quality food can reduce and permanently rid your cats of recurring bouts of acne.

Hope that helps:)
